Carlton North Residence by Project 12 Architects

Seamlessly connecting old and new

A carefully considered reworking of a double-fronted heritage terrace, this Carlton North home by Project 12 Architecture balances the needs of a growing family with a deep respect for its Victorian origins. The addition of a two-storey extension introduces generous, light-filled spaces for living and entertaining, while quieter zones offer moments of retreat and calm.

Materiality plays a central role — spotted gum timber, exposed brick and expansive stone surfaces create a layered interior that seamlessly connects old and new. Skylights and light wells draw natural light deep into the home, softening the richness of the palette and enhancing the sense of warmth throughout.

Within this setting, our Ecru Stripe collection sits effortlessly against the natural materials. Its subtle pattern and woven texture echo the home’s balance of structure and softness, adding a quiet, tactile layer to the everyday.
