Towel Care
Breaking In Organic Fibres
To maximise absorbency, we recommend an initial 24-hour soak in cold water before first use. This allows the organic cotton fibres to open, expand and become absorbent naturally. After soaking, follow the general care instructions below.
If the initial soak is missed, absorbency will still develop naturally with a few additional washes and regular use. Running your towel through 2–3 wash and dry cycles can also help release any remaining natural lint from the weaving process. Tumble drying is ideal for removing excess lint.
A small amount of shrinkage (1–1.5 cm) is natural after the first wash.
With regular use and care, your piece will continue to soften and become increasingly absorbent over time.
General Care
Machine wash on a cold to warm cycle with natural detergent. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. Wash separately from items with zips or hooks. Avoid fabric softeners and harsh detergents, as they can damage the organic fibres.
We recommend washing whites, ecru and darker tones separately to maintain clarity of colour. For bath mats with intricate tassels, we recommend using a delicates wash bag.
Ecru pieces may take a little longer to reach full absorbency, as they are undyed.
If you notice a loose thread, simply trim it with sharp scissors - do not pull.
