Bold Structure and everyday comfort
Carpenter’s Square House is an exploration of Prospect and Refuge — a home that turns a challenging suburban context into an opportunity for intimacy and texture. The L-shaped addition embraces the existing Edwardian dwelling, creating protection outwardly while enriching the interior experience.
Externally restrained, the extension reveals a richly detailed interior. Material cues from the original home are reinterpreted and amplified — brick tones migrate inward, and rendered surfaces are redistributed to create a layered, tactile environment. The contrast between minimal façade and expressive interior recalls a quiet modernist discipline.
Within this setting, our Black & White bath towel complements the home’s tonal dialogue. Its graphic weave and soft texture sit naturally against the layered materials, reinforcing the balance between bold structure and everyday comfort.
A considered study in contrast — protective outside, richly textural within.
