Adaptable and quietly expressive
A reimagined mid-century home in San Francisco’s Forest Knolls, this project by Regan Baker Design transforms a once boxy structure into a layered, light-filled family home. Through reworking the floor plan and elevating ceilings, the design introduces openness and flow, while custom joinery and thoughtful detailing bring warmth and personality throughout. ()
The interiors balance a neutral foundation with moments of colour and texture, creating a home that feels both playful and grounded — where materiality and lived experience sit at the forefront.
Within the bathroom, Loom’s Ecru Stripe bath mat — styled as a hand towel — introduces a subtle, tactile layer. Its woven texture softens the space and reflects the home’s overall approach: thoughtful, adaptable and quietly expressive.
