I’m truly honoured to be featured on est living — a platform I’ve long admired for its thoughtful celebration of design, craft and the people behind meaningful spaces.
In conversation with est, I had the opportunity to reflect on the journey of Loom — from the moment I first encountered the age-old Turkish looping craft, to the evolution of a brand grounded in tradition, sustainability and contemporary textile design.
For me, Loom has always been about more than towels. It’s about preserving craft, celebrating process and creating objects that connect deeply with everyday rituals. Our textiles are brought to life on treasured shuttle looms in Southern Turkey, where generations of weavers continue techniques that are becoming increasingly rare in a mechanised world. Each piece is shaped through slow, intentional making — from thread selection to hand-tied fringes — carrying with it a story of human touch and cultural continuity.
To be featured alongside so many inspiring designers, architects and creatives is a meaningful reminder of why I began this journey: to bring beauty, intention and a sense of ritual into the home, one carefully crafted piece at a time.
I’m incredibly grateful to the est team for the thoughtful conversation, and to our community for embracing Loom with such care and curiosity. If you haven’t yet read the full interview, I’d love to invite you to explore it — a deeper look into the craft, inspiration and philosophy that shape every Loom collection.
