Loom x United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens Collaboration

At the heart of South Yarra, Melbourne, United Places Hotel Botanic Gardens stands quietly as a contemporary boutique hotel that feels like a well-curated home overlooking the Royal Botanic Gardens.

"Sophisticated hangout in the city’s greenest spot" - CondéNast Traveller

For this collaboration, Loom worked closely with the team at United Places to ensure the textiles responded directly to the architectural palette and orientation of the suites.

Loom created king-sized blankets exclusively designed to sit seamlessly within each room’s colour story, alongside hand-loomed peshtamels, our lightweight flat-woven towels.

In the north-facing suites, the blankets are woven in deep green and warm grey tones that reference the garden canopy framed by the windows - a tonal shift from city to landscape that guests notice upon arrival.

In the south-facing suites, Loom employed shades of soft pink and muted purple that reflect the lighter, warmer internal palette and capture the gentle afternoon glow flowing into these rooms.

These blankets sit comfortably alongside signature interior elements such as rich velvet drapes, Italian-designed furniture and bespoke joinery, enhancing the tactile experience of the suite.

The peshtamels are intentionally versatile, light enough to drape over the shoulder and wear or carry across to the Botanic Gardens for an impromptu picnic.

United Places was designed for the design conscious guest who values thoughtful materials, quiet comfort and a connection to both city life and the natural world just beyond the windows.

"This is one of the few truly luxurious small hotels in Australia and will delight those with cosmopolitan tastes." - CondéNast Traveller
