A sense of calm
A modern reinterpretation of a Californian Bungalow, The Alpha House by BuildHer Collective balances soft curves, natural light and a restrained material palette to create a family home rich in warmth and personality. Designed around texture and flow, the home embraces organic forms, sculptural details and a connection to its leafy Alphington setting.
Curved archways, arched skylights and softly cocooned spaces create a sense of calm throughout the home, while timber, stone and tactile finishes bring depth and warmth to the monochromatic palette. The result is a family home that feels both playful and refined, drawing on a contemporary interpretation of 1970s design.
Featured within the project, Looms' Black & White Collection introduces a graphic woven texture that complements the home's emphasis on shape, contrast and materiality. The collection adds a subtle layer of pattern while remaining grounded in the project's restrained palette.
